I want it all...

To quote a song I heard back in the day; "I want it all, brand new socks and draws...". This holds true for me also. Though I'm sure that what this artist is referring to is not what I'm speaking of. I want the Holy Spirit to manifest itself in every area of my life! I was reading an AWESOME book on organization called Getting Things Done by David Allen (I recommend it), and the Lord showed me something. He showed me that It's not enough to desire the "J" or the "E" or the "S" or the "U" or even the "S", but we have to desire JESUS as a whole! Not parts of God, but the ALL OF GOD! The same God that inspired the Apostle Paul to write of Ecclesiastic order is the same God that inspired Solomon to write of loving his wife(s). I've heard preachers focus on the things that arouse the emotions of the people and not thoroughly deal with the weightier issues facing the people. And on the flip side of that, I heard preachers deal with issues and not focus on worship or praise offered up to the Lord. I believe that we have to have an balance and focus on all of God and not just pieces. I know that this isn't controversial or even ground breaking revelation, but It's what the lord put on my heart and I decided to share it. I would like for anyone who reads this to simply comment on what your issues are and lets find a biblical solution together.

Man, where do I start? Well let me start with the first thing that comes to mind...

1. I'm married to an AWESOME WOMAN WHO LOVES JESUS AND WILL KILL CONCRETE FOR HIM!!! This chick loves her some Jesus and it, not spills, but POURS over into our marriage! Crystal has grown into the impidemy of virtue and I'm not just saying that for "points" either, I really mean it. She has given me one of the desires of my heart, children. And she really is the "gift that keeps on giving" because she has been pregnant for what seems like ten years straight! She blessed me to be a dad to Aaron, then she gave birth to Boo Boo, Otis Jr. and Joseph back to back to BACK! Jesus, you did an awesome job in giving me a perfect combination of what I wanted and more importantly, what I NEEDED! THANX!

2. You may have read it in the "basics" section, but I have recently accepted a call to help people with figuring out what their professional destines. What's a professional destiny? A professional destiny is something that I believe we all have. God said, that for the rest of our days we will have to work for a living (Genesis 3:19) and because of this and the fact that in all ways we should acknowledge him, we should ask him what we are called to do for a living. So my job is to help you to; A. figure out what it is you are "purposefully destined" to do and B. help equip you to do it.

3. I have to get prepared! God doesn't bless disorder, so I have to get all of my duckies in a row. I have to do my business plan, design and print business cards, pay for a domain name and a whole bunch of other stuff! I AM SO PUMPED!!! Some would say, you're pumped because you have to do more stuff? NO, I'm pumped because I have stepped into the first stages of business ownership! And one day I won't have to punch a FLIPPIN clock!

Frustrated With The Process???

Have you ever been frustrated with "the process", whatever the process is? Have you ever made up your mind and said; "I'm going do do what God wants me to do, no matter what!"? But as soon as you say that to yourself and to God... here comes frustration, opposition and discouragement! How do you deal with that, and better yet, how do you deal with the desire to just QUIT!!!??? Somebody let me know how to deal with all the stuff that comes along with commiting to doing the right thing.

Has anyone ever been shocked and/or flabbergasted by a comment someone made that you thought would never come out of their mouth? Maybe it was a loved one or maybe it was a friend or quite possibly it was someone that you have the utmost respect for. Either way you were either aggravated, shocked, dumbfounded or even hurt by what they said and now you're probably tempted to treat them differently... but should you? This is the question, what do we do when we experience something like this? How many of us judged and condemned Jimmy Swaggart for his early ninety's mistakes? How many of us remembered that we have made mistakes too, but just couldn't get over the offense? Sound off...!

What's Love Got to do With It?

...No this is not a musical reference! It is a question that should be asked by many in the Body of Christ... What does love have to do with your service or your ministry. I would hope that it has all to do with it, but I can't help but wounder if we truely "get it". If you're like me, you'be been frustrated with the work you do, the call on your life or the service that you provide, so let your e-voice be heard and put it down and let's find solutions to the problem together!
